Case 3, shelf B: Prototypes
  1. Serial number MT11xxx (Mfg. 1941): Prewar gun with experimental postwar type barrel. Shown with prewar blueprint drawing of the barrel type.
  2. Serial number 025xxxS (Mfg. 1971?): Experimental, with special trigger system, sighting bridge, and other experimental features. Colt letter indicates "No Record."
  3. No serial number. Frame only, for proposed Huntsman replacement. Never manufactured.
  4. No serial number. Sample receiver for final inspection. Pictured in Sutherland, page 563.
  5. Serial number xp. Frame only, for second series Match Target.
For privacy purposes, the final three digits of the serial numbers have been replaced with xxx.
