Photographed with grips removed to show engraver's signature. From the factory letter:
"Royal Blue with French Gray accents. The French Graying was executed by Master Engraver, Dennis Kies. Type of Stocks: Ivory. Factory Engraved: Yes, class "B" engraving with a squirrel on a log linecut engraved on right side of the slide, a Rampant Colt linecut engraved on the left side of the slide, and an acorn linecut engraved above the serial number. The engraving was executed by Colt Master Engraver, Steve Kamyk."
Although the letter doesn't mention it, the acorn above the serial number is gold inlaid. (Photo coming soon.) The letter also fails to mention that the ivory stocks were made by none other than Mr. John Guest, the owner of the pistol and a master craftsman in his own right, who provided these grips and others to Colt!

One of a pair with Target Model SN 084476S (reference number 3-2). The factory letter further states:

"The records further indicate this specially designed set of pistols also included a walnut presentation case."
