	PRESENTING	THE		FROM 1915	TO 1977

This collection won "Best of Show" at the annual Convention of the Colt Collectors Association in Denver, Colorado in 1986. It was then put away and not displayed again for 15 years.

The next time it was shown, on July 7-8, 2001, this display won the Best of Show, Andrew Mowbray Excellence in Exhibitry Award at the NRA National Gun Show, which was held near Seattle WA.

The collection was shown again at Wally Beinfeld's Las Vegas Antique Arms Show at the Riviera hotel, January 31-February 1-2, 2002, where it again was judged Best of Show.

In April 2002 the collection was shown at the annual NRA Convention in Reno Nevada on behalf of the Washington Arms Collectors, where the collection received several awards, including:

• Silver Medallion for One of Ten best Arms displayed (Col Askins' center-fire Woodsman)
• Best Educational Award for the "classic" period (primarily 1898-1950)
• One of three Certificates of Recognition for a Related Arms Group within a display. That was for a group of Colt Woodsman Pistols with King Conversions.
• One of three Certificates of Recognition for non-weapon items in a display. That was for a grouping of papers that includes:
  1. The original patent folders for the Colt .22 Auto and the Match Target.
  2. Original engineering drawings dating from 1912 and later.
